1982 f250 4.6L. Stalls when engine is hot and

1982 f250 Ranger XLT 4.6L. Stalls when engine is hot and won't start again until it is cooled off? Has not had much maintenence. Mostly original.

Vapor Lock in the carburettor - it gets so hot that the gasoline vaporizes and blocks the flow. Insulate it better.

Chevy 2000 Silverado 1500, the engine stalls and won't start until it has cooled off.

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ?

My truck stalls and dies in hot weather and won't

not too familiar with the rangers of that era, but if it has a computer the n its probably bad. my 2001 firebird had the same issue.

I have a 2004 Ranger XLT flair side that won't turn over periodically. If I wait awhile (time varies) It will turnover normally. The battery is good and there is no indication of starter problems. ...

Check the fuel filter and replace it. Also check the fuel pressure. But first and foremost thing which can cause this must be the fuel filter. It must be checked at every regular maintenance interval.

The engine will shut down and will start again up to 15 min. later every thing will function the anti theft light will blink and the starter will turn the engine over. never know when it will do it. I...

Seems heat related so first thing to change would be the coolant sensor in the thermostat housing. This tells the ECU whether the engine is hot or cold. If faulty after 10 - 15 minutes it could over fuel and cut the engine not allowing it to start until it has cooled back down.
