2004 ford taurus occasionaly wont start right up.

2004 ford Taurus ocasionaly wont start right up. It's like a weak battery but that is not the problem. with the key off the tac and speedo needles vibrate and there is a clicking sound behind the dash. Fuel gage shows empty when its full. Sometimes it will start with the same indications vibrating needles empty fuel fuel warning these can persist even when shutdown and key removed. I get no codes on my obd2.

Can you tell me if it was in fact the starter? I have an 04 Ford Taurus with 99K miles on it. This week when I started it up, not everytime but often the abs, brake, tire and traction control lights will stay on. Also the computer display will read either park brake engaged or passenger door ajar. I turn it off and start it again and the issue goes away. This morning it acted as though it had a dead battery and I had the clicking sound behind the dash as well as the vibrating needles. Thanks!

2004 ford taurus wont start after being driven a short distance, running fine before i turned it off

If Th engine doesn't crank have the battery and battery cables checked for condition and corrosion. If the engine cranks and dos not start then have the systems control computer scanned for fault codes and have the fuel pressure checked.

Start at battery and check and clean all connections. Check ends for corrosion, or weak points, as well as remove and clean all ground cables. That's where I'd start.
