No it doesn't have fuel. What test did you do.? The fuel filter is dirty or the fuel pump is mechanically bound once in awhile.

Testimonial: "Once I got it homeI have been running it and then turning it off and restaring and running it. I have done this about 5 times and took it about quarter mile and back. There hasnt been a problem and now Im worried to take it further thinknig it might stop again."

As I explained to you ,ocassionally the fuel pump armature will seize up,and stop pumping fuel. You WILL get stranded again. If the fuel pump is 13 years old, just have a new one installed. There is nothing to cool down. It is in the gas tank, nice and cool,as long as you keep at least a 1/4 tank of fuel. You need to have the fuel tank removed from the vehicle and make the repair. There is no computer sensor, to tell you about, a mechanical issue ,with an electrical device.

1997 chey lumina runs fine until motor warm-up then shut off and won't start until motor cool off

Try getting your transmission solenoid replaced. After I got mine replaced it ran fine after that. That's the exact same thing my Lumina was doing.

I have a 1986 dodge power ram with a 318. i belive my alternator or voltage regulator has went out. because with the truck running u kn dissconnect one of the battery cables and the engine will die. well...

If you have access to a multimeter check the power terminal. It should be at least 13+ volts if the alternator is good while the car is running. The battery will not maintain more then generally 12 volts while the vehicle is off. Be careful not to drain the battery to far as it will damage it.

Bought 2001 Lumina.. head gasket was leaking. fixed that n noticed cooling fan motors were not running. Replace all 3 relays n ect n fans started working. Drove it two days n it started runnin hot pulled...

I had a similar problem. Is your temperature gauge pegged to the right as very hot? Or reads always cold, even when hot. If it is a 3100 motor their is a coolant temperature gauge sending unit under the air breather intake that is right next to where you replace the thermostat.

Get a haynes repair manual at a parts dealer, Amazon, or your public library.
On the Chevrolet Lumina, Monte Carlo, & Impala FWD 1995 to 2005 it's under section 3-8 on page 3-6. It goes into great detail, and it's too complicated to explain here. If your sensor is bad, but the wires and fuses are good then the fans won't run.

Your second fan only runs when the air compressor is turning, If your ac compressor is not running then the sensor will not have the passenger fan run.
You have to see if the fan motors are good and then the wiring is good, and no fuses blown. You might blow fuses so have extra blue ones if I remember right. Recheck fuses after testing.

Lumina still won't start until engine cools down for an hour

The coil pak is probably bad.
you need three things to start air fuel and spark. You turn it oven and it wont run,if the fuel is the problem try this.spray a little 2+2 carb cleaner down the throttl body if it runs ,fuel is the problem.
It can also be as simple as the ECM the computer could be going bad.

My 1990 Lumina won't restart until the engine cools

Hi, the problem your having is going to be with the oxygen sensor this only starts working when the car is at running temp so this is when you start getting problems but when the engine and exhaust are cold you will have no problems starting the car.
The oxygen sensor (lambda sensor as its proper name) runs from the exhaust either before or after the catalitic converter if your car has a cat it goes from the exhaust and the other end plugs into an electric connector these are not to expensive to replace and can be done yourself if you have a good mechanical mind to know what your looking for.

Let me know if you need further assistance ok

Ok ma car ran hot cut off and wouldnt start back up i let it cool down then i tried again and it wouldnt start back up so i went to the radiator and took off thee capsal and the stuff in there look oaily...

You have oil mixing with water which means your water pump is gone bad.

Please call an expert from a garage to come fix it for you and dont try starting it again so as not to knock the engine.

Be careful.

Rate this solution please.

97 blazer fuel pump

Are you getting fuel to the fuel rail on the engine? Can you hear the pump running? Recheck the hose you replaced. Could have come off.
