The 4G93 is a 1.8 L (1,834 cc) engine available in both SOHC and DOHC versions. Turbocharged variants are also produced. In mid 1996 Mitsubishi released a gasoline direct injection (GDI) version of the 4G93. This GDI model saw a production of over a million units though it was a heavy polluter therefore only sold in the Japanese market. Check your fuses . So if petrol engine i would first rule out if its spark or fuel related. .

Replace the air filter and IAC idler air control valve.

If your in park or neutral, the PCM stops the engine from revving up to high. If your driving, then the fuel filter is clogged up.

The 4G93/1.8L is an interference engine.

I have newly purchased a RVR with an engine 4g93 I noticed that there is Turbo or intercoler 4g93T, my I ask if it is possible to convert my engine from 4g93 to 4g93T? pls. advice me ASAP, thanks to you all

the correct transmission fluid is ATF+4, any other trans fluid will spoil the transmission.
i use platinum spark plugs in my engine, works great.

Is there spark at the plugs and fuel at the engine?
