Re: Car wont start the say its fuel filter in the tank...
The filter should be mounted on the frame, up from the gas tank. The fuel pump is in the tank, there is a strainer on the bottom of it. The only way to get to the pump and strainer is to drop the gas tank.

Check the flow at the fuel pump,a filter generally doesn't go bad/plug up within a minute so it may be the pump.Check flow to the pump from the tank also.
on a ford mondeo 08 the fuel filter is at the rear of car u take old filter put in new one fill with fuel put back together then put a pipe on feed [there might be a bleed niple on top that will be easier] suck till fuel comes out conect pipe back turn ignition on for 15 seconds 3 times to clear air then start done
Fuel caps have breather holes in them - once clogged the fuel tank is sucked vacuum and the engine stalls. Check the fuel tank cap for clogged breather holes.
roger . most of the fuel filter are in front of the tank . there are no access hole that i know of .because i have to pull the gas tank on the van vbefor they go out back in the junk yard were i work. it duse sound like the fuel filter. it ez to chang if you want to lay on your back . if not leave it to the pro ok good luck
