I own a 1993 Ford 250 4WD pickup that has a 460 engine that the original owner put in for pulling power. The truck was running fine, then I attempted to start it and it wouldn't. I cleaned my battery cables and it still wouldn't start. Attempted to jump it and it wouldn't start. I took my battery in and it checked out fine. What should I look at next? I'm not very mechanically inclined but don't have the funds to take it in. I'm wondering about the starter and need to find some specs on the engine online to know what I'm doing. Do you have any suggestions?

1993 ford f350 with 460 engine, will not star unless you press gas pedal to the flor and it may stay runnig then but not for long and seems to have no power when you put it in gear it dies
Check the engine intake and all vacuum hoses for leaks, do this with a can of spray carb cleaner, if you hit a leak the idle speed will change. Repair what you find.
I know a website that has every info on all vehicles
and vehicle problems (common/basic and technical both), with their solution In detail.. it's www.reliable-store.com
I would say to check the timing it may be retarded which would lessen the power. also you didnt say if it miss fires there could be a number of causes for the lack of power.
