I start the car and the starter stay ingage I turn the ign switch off then try to start and the same thing happened few times until it start normal do you think its the starter / starter realy or ign

I would suspect that the solenoid contacts need replacing as they may be burning together. Pull the starter and have an accredited auto electrician bench test it.

Starter problems

Relay faulty that controls starter or alarm. If you have to hit your starter to get it to work, starter is faulty. IF starter and realy is 1 unit, replace both.

Starter clicks and won.'t start.

Check battery voltage it should be 12-12.6 volts if its less than 12 volts either charge or replace battery. If battery checks out to be good then your starter solenoid is bad.

200 amps are hooked to battery turminals to jump start it and it won't turn over? The starter will turn slowly, then stop. Acting like it's not getting enough voltage. 1984 Buick LeSabre Custom, 307 V8.

well now,,, 200 amps,, sounds like a realy big kick dont it? trust me,,,thats nothing more that a cheep torch battery,,,you will need at least 400 cranking amps just to make that starter grunt over,, fuw things to look for,,, 1,,is the engine sezed,,,2 is the starter motor a good one? as it sounds like it has a short in its feild windings 3 or warn out brushes 4,,or burnt out solenoid cap,, 5,,or even a realy bad engine earth, 6,,,bad battery clamps 7 even dry bushes in the starter,,,, to be honest,,,i would wip off the starter first and strip it down or fit a different one on just to try it out,, i bet its the satrter letting you down though

I have a 1990 Jeep grand Wagoneer and iam having a problem locating the starter, help

You need to get under the front end of the truck - safely...
To the left or right of the fly wheel.. The fly wheel is a realy big round gear..
The starter will be mostly sylinder shape..
Should be easy to find..
