Hi,
Yes, you can check the fluid level switch by disconnecting the connector from the switch and testing the switch with a multimeter. Some switches have a built-in test feature. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for detailed instructions on how to test the switch.
Do your brakes lights work? You replaced the switch was this the light switch that is found on the firewall that is activated when the brakes are applied?
If not, replace that switch. it is found underneath the dash on the driver side.It has a button that is depressed when the brakes are applied.
check all fuses if its not a fuse check all wiring to see if one came out or corroded ....meaning if theres is corrosion it will not allow your lights to work properly
Have an assistant blow cigarette smoke in the end of the line and look for the leak under the dash, Thinking that goes either to the brake light switch or the heater control
check for a bad brake light fuse! if not the fuse, the brake light switch operates brake lights and if bad you will not be able to shift it out of park, as well as the brake lights not coming on.! because you have to put foot on brake to do so. if bad switch, it wont let it out of park. it could be just out of adjustment also!! good-day !
Hello , do you have amber colored turn lenses or red? I ask this because maybe the bulbs are not dual filament type in the brake light socket. There maybe a brake light fuse also. Do you have a third brake light as well? Does it work? Quinn , Arizona
