1997 Lincoln Continental my man took a spark plug to look at it and put back, and now were driving ask the car feels weird its putting, very wobbly, its none of the fluids.what is it. O and the check...

Check to make sure that the spark plug wire was put on the spark plug all the way. You need to gently push down until you hear a little click (the metal in the spark plug wire and the metal on the spark plug connecting). If that doesn't work, check to make sure the spark plug is screwed in all the way.
Its also possible that when the spark plug was taken out it was damaged. If none of the other stuff works, try replacing the spark plug.

Hello, I got the silent shaft, timed with the cam, crank and oil pump, thank you for the help with comments. now that it is runnin, it runs rougher then before i replaced the water pump and timing belts...

The only way to tell if you have a ring or valve problem is to do the compression test as it the best place to start . Once you have eliminated the compression from the equation then you can concentrate on why the cylinder is getting more fuel than the others. I would be checking for vacuum leaks for the rough running as an incorrect fuel / air ratio will cause missing. We cannot fix everything but we endeavour to point you in the right direction so that you can fix it.

Need a spark plug diagram

Hello,

Take a look at this picture. This is from a 94 cougar V8, on the left and right are coil packs with wires coming out and going to the sides of the engine. On the spark plug side you pull to remove, on the coil side squeeze the clips and pull up. IMPORTANT - Do one wire at a time so that you put the wires in the same spot as you took them off.

How do you properly replace spark plugs in a 96 dodge stratus?

pull off plug grabbing it as close to spark plug as you can. Using socket rotate counterclockwise and remove plug. Be careful putting plugs back in and thread by hand first. Then torque as plug box says as it depends on if you have a washer or not.

Where is the best place to get step by step

(This is a 2 part answer)

If your looking to just change the spark plugs its very very simple.
- Remove The Cover under the Honda Emblem
(Should be just 4 basic nuts)
Pic: http://image.hondatuningmagazine.com/f/17468344/htup_0904_09_z+2004_honda_accord_euro_r+engine_side_view.jpg

After this you should see 4 wires.
- label them 1-4 and remember where they go.
remove them from the block, and down in each cylinder is the spark plugs. use a spark plug socket tool and a long extension and a 3/8" drive ratchet to remove and replace the plugs.

After replacing the plugs put the wires back in the designated cylinder holes and put the cover on over the wires and replace the 4 nuts you took off.

1.) start vehicle
2.) Left vehicle idle ( listen and watch motor, look for anything out of the ordinary)
3.) Turn the vehicle off and that should solve your problem.

How do you change the spark plugs on a 1998 toyota corolla?

pop the spark plug wires out of the engine, get a pretty long extension and the right size socket, and untwist them out, replace, (make sure if the new plugs need to be gapped, you do so properly, this will save you on mpg and spark plug life) and put it back together making sure you put the wires back in the same order you took them out! Good luck and please rate me!

If I remember right the order is cast right onto the intake manifold of the engine. It has been a while since I worked on one. Good Luck, RAC

I took my van in for a basic turnup and oil change that was $264.

If you remove the engine cover from inside the vehicle you will gain access to the spark plug wires and spark plugs. The spark plug wires come out of the distrubtor cap thats at the rear of the motor, the spark plug wires run to the left side of the motor and to the right side an end up attached to the spark plugs. Reolace spark plug wires one at a time so you dont mix them up, this is fairly easy the only difficult part is getting your hands in the small space in the engine compartment. Hope this was helpful.

Spark Plugs

It is very difficult to change it is all done by feel as you cannot see it. You need to pull the wire off and "remember" the path it took to come out as this is the way you will have to remove and install the plug and put back the wire. Also, be very mindfull while installing the plug because it can be stripped out fairly easy if your not carefull. Good luck.
