2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee has antifreeze leaking

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee has major antifreeze leaking underneath hood of car and on ground after driving it to town. Checked both main hoses going in and out of raidiator. Both hoses appear okay. I beleive I have identified the water pump and don't see anything obvious why it leaking. Can someone give some suggestions on what to check?

Fill it up and wait for it to leak again. Its about the only way your going to find it for sure. Rev it up and let it get hot in the driveway.

Water pump pulley is rattling in my Jeep 2005 Laredo 3.7L

Your description sounds like a water pump replacement is needed.

Check for leaks when you are done, you may likely have one or two more, when you finally get system pressure again.

Heater coil is leaking in my 2005 jeep grand cherokee car

Happened on my 05 Jeep. Had antifreeze leaking into the interior. Brought it into the mechanic and there was a spot on the piping (i guess that's what it would be called) that was rusted causing it to leak. It's all one piece so the whole heater coil had to be replaced. Unfortunatley, not cheap. Cost me about a grand. (I'm trading in my Jeep) If you knew how to replace the heater coil yourself, I'm sure it'd be cheaper but from what the mechanic told me, it's a common problem with Chrysler's vehicles. That along with the rear differntial breaking, which was another grand I put into my Jeep.

I have 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it is leaking coolant

Front drivers side could be a bad cap, lower hose or the radiator itself. You need to look carefully and find the leak source. Steam travels and isn't a good indication of where the actual leak is coolant will run down and take any path it can to reach the ground. Therefore, you need to follow it back to where it is coming from, then deal with it. Your water pump can also leak and run down the lower hose. there is a small hole in the pump behind the pulley. If you see coolant coming from there the pump needs to be replaced. Sealers will not work on hoses or pump leaks so don't bother using them for that.

I have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee losing antifreeze no leaks.

This is a hands on diag. If no leaks can be found then the coolant has to be going out the tailpipe. Chances are you have a cracked head or a cracked block. New gasget only temporarily sealed the crack. But then we are just guessing.

Leaking antifreeze

first, remember that any leak will run down...There is nothing near your muffler that contains antifreeze, therefore, what ever is leaking has been blown back there while driving. Open up the hood and look to see where leak is originating. check all hoses, hose connections, radiator, rug under heater in the cab and everything associated with cooling system. You will see antifreeze coming out somewhere. Once you locate the leak, I can help you deal with it. Do not open the radiator when engine is hot! Do not drive with low coolant condition! This is not a solution...yet...I'ts the beginning of one!

2000 jeep grand cherokee is leaking antifreeze

Have a shop pressure test the cooling system, this will make the leak easier to locate, if I have to guess I would go with a leaking water pump.
