Where is bank 1 on a 2001 ford taurus?

The engine light of my 2001 Ford Taurus came on, and a tester said that it was P0133, O2, Bank 1, Sensor 1. I have a dual overhead cam. Which bank is bank 1? The back that faces the radiator?
If so, this is the sensor that I replaced about a month ago. What gives here?
Thanks.

If it was the upper o2 this is the one. This does not mean the o2 is bad, check the spark plugs and boots, and fuel pressure. The fuel ratio is not correct on that bank.

Where is the bank 1 sensor 1 on a 2001 ford taurus?

Hello
Bank one is the engine cylinder bank near the engine firewall (see diagram). The bank one sensor one is the Oxygen sensor (O2) located in the exhaust pipe just of the engine cylinder bank at rear and before the Catalytic Converters.

What is the PO136 code on 1999 Ford Taurus

This code is the circuit malfunction for the oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2. This means that the engine computer is not seeing the sensor. It may need an new sensor, have a wire between the sensor and the computer that has shorted out, or just be unplugged. Here is a link to a trouble code dictionary.

Obd code p0133 and p01131

P1131 bank 1 indicates the fuel/air ratio is correcting rich for an overly lean condition.
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0133 and P0153 indicates the response rate of the upstream HO2S(s) is below some calibrated window. The test measures the HO2S amplitude and output frequency. This is accomplished by superimposing a 1.5 to 2.5 Hz square wave over Lambse. The HO2S switching is monitored during this time to see if the calibration limit is met. P0133 is also bank 1.
Although these codes could be caused by several things such as vacuum leaks, fuel contamination, exhaust leaks,miss-fires,etc. Since it is localized on only bank one I would replace that front(upper in the exhaust to back cylinder head) 02 sensor and see if that did not correct my concern.
