Question about 1999 Daewoo Leganza

The manual shows the tube and dip in front of coil it is not there .rather placement is behind it red cap says trans fluid but no stick

It doesn't have a stick. There is a plug near the passenger side cv shaft. Remove the plug when the engine is running and fill the trans until fluid runs from the plug hole.

Transmission dip stick keeps popping out
check trans. fluid level per owners manual.The high operating temperatures cause fluid to expand greatly,an over-filled transmission can actually force excess fluid out of the dip stick tube.check level with trans. hot,engine running in park on a level surface. After driving,place shifter in park,hold brake and move shifter through all gears and back to park.remove dipstick,wipe clean,re-insert and check fluid level.normally,trans fluid & filter should be changed +/- 100 k miles

How do I check the trans fluid level?
Make sure the transmission is at operating temp, with engine running foot on brake put gear shift in each position then go back to park, set park brake open hood you will need light to see a red cap kind of under neath th rubber tube from the air cleaner to the throttle body. Turn the cap counterclockwise, pull up on the cap, wipe it off re-insert it, make sure you push it all the way down the turn to lock it, unlock it pull it back out and check the level to the marks on the dip stick. When finished make sure the dip stick is locked in place.

How do you check the transmission fluid when there is no dip stick attached to the cap
its probably broken off of the cap and still in the fill tube. If you cant fish it out from the top somehow, you can take the pan off the trans and it will be there sticking out of the fill tube. Get another cap and stick at a junk yard.

Checking and servicing the automatic transmission
The cap your reffering to is the dip stick. You need to remove the 10mm bolt that holds it in order to check/fill the trans. The trans takes Nissan J Matic fluid ONLY use of any other fluid will damage the trans and void your warranty(this is why it is bolted in). You will see it printed on the handle of the stick when you remove it. You can use the drain plug on the trans pan to drain the old fluid out and then refill it at the tube with a funnel.
