Sometimes when a fuel filter is stopped up,and you change it,the fuel pump later, will go out, cause of the strain on the pump.

If it is not fuel related ,then it sounds like the ignition switch is the problem.Check the connections at the battery, make sure they are clean, and shiny, then see what the alternator is charging.

Check all the fuses, and if they are good, then the ignition switch most likely is the problem.

Could be no spark. Check for spark with an old plug.
Hope this helps.

1996 honda accord wont start fuel pump?

Sounds like your fuel pump relay is out. It's very common on these older Hondas. Quite pricy too.

I have a 95 accord that cranks but doesn't start.

Have you ever change the fuel filter
Even the air filter.

1992 honda accord intermittenly dies. however, a few minutes later, will start back up. replaced coil and wiring, 2 years ago replaced fuel relay, help!

Improve the FixYa experience for everyone by voting.

In my opinion, it sounds like either a clogged fuel filter, the ignition control module, the mass air flow sensor, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor or the fuel pressure regulator. It could also be a combination of two or more of these.

You require a OBD I diagnostic scan to pinpoint the problem. AutoZone will perform a scan at no charge or you can borrow a scanner from them.

All the best,

Intermittantly the car won't start

Main Fuel injector relay is probably the culprit. Buy a second hand one for about 50 bucks and replace it yourself within 30 minutes.

My honda maccord wont statr without having to pump gas pedel

if you have a 95 accord you dont need tp pump the throttle it is a fuel injected car the problem does lie in the fuel system the filter is a good place to start but i woud check the fuek injectors and the fuel presure regulater. and to let presure out you got to loosen the bolt on the fuel filter witch is located on the fierwall. if you have any other honda questions please let me know
