Check the shift interlock solenoid that it is working. Try depressing the brake while shifting.

If you remove the shifter handle and the bezel beneath it there is a little solenoid that releases the shifter knob when it is in park. If you remove the lock bypass slot and put a key down there it shoud move the solenoid out of the way and allow you to shift the car.

My battery is dead and I can't move the car due to the auto gear shift stuck in park. How do I move the car to get a jump on the battery?

if you look on the center council where the shift lever is you will see a small plastic button on the drivers. Remove the button. Insert a small screwdriver into the hole and push down. You will then be able to move the shift lever into nuetral and push the car.

I HAVE A 1992 CAMRY LE AND IT WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK UNLESS YOU PUSH THE SHIFT BUTTONAND HOLD IT IN TO GET IT OUT OF GEAR

this could be from two issues. 1- a bad shift interlock switch or 2- a bad brake light switch. if this helps leave positive rating.

My gear shift is stuck in Park

Normally to shift do you have to press the brake to get it out of park? and if so then it could be a bad switch on the brake pedal.

My new duplicated key screwed up my gears!

When you say "Push the button", I am assuming that you are talking about the button in front of the shifter, yes?

If so, the problem that you have is a "shift interlock" problem.

Try this. Start the car, and have someone stand at the back of the car. Push the brake pedal.
Ask them if the brake lights come on. If not, you have a bad brake lamp fuse, or a bad brake lamp switch above the brake pedal. The brake light circuit ALSO puts power to the shifter interlock so you can take it out of park. No power to the shifter interlock; you will need to push the button. Doubt that the duplicate key has anything to do with this.
Hope this helps. Please consider good feedback for this solution.
