You need a scan toll hooked up to it and when it acts up then you will have a "snapshot" of all sensors when it has it's rough running trouble.
This would be the place to start first.

SOURCE: My 2005 nissan xterra will not start it has shut

The issue is your Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF). This can be due to an overused/very dirty air filter, or even an aftermarket air filter (that uses oil on the filter element), or diriving in very dusty/dirty areas.

2 fixes.
1) Get MAF cleaner of Electrical connection cleaner in a spray can from your local auto parts store. Locate the MAF, which is on the intake tube, drivers2_bing.gif side, just after the air filter. It is held down by 2 hex screws. remove it (try not to touch the metal with your hands, and DO NOT touch the little sensors that look like wire resistors you will see inside, if you touch them, it will no longer work!), spray it VERY WELL with the cleaner (use the whole can if you feel the need) let dry in ambient air for at least 10 minutes, re-install and like magic, your car will start & run, probably better than before you had the issue. The CATCH IS, this can end up being a short term fix, may happen again after 10 miles, or 20,000 miles, but it will more than likely happen again.
2) Replace the MAF with a new unit, or have your vehicle serviced under warranty, and have the dealership replace this part.

SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on a 2005 Nissan

The fuel filter is located inside the fuel pump on a 2005 nissan altima. The fuel pump is under the back seat. You must remove the bottom cushion on the driver side. Before removing the fuel pump you must remove the negative battery cable and relieve fuel pressure. trouble with filters hesitation in starts could be some bogging and when acceleration poor fuel output but it depends on what ur car is doing?some of these same symptoms could be duel to idle air conrol valve controls idle and hesitation in acceleration

2005 Nissan Armada cranks no start changed fuel pump in tank replaced relay under dash unless it's not the right relay

Are you certain that you have a fuel problem? What is the pressure at the fuel rail? Have you tested for spark? Some common sense trouble shooting will often keep you from wasting money on unnecessary parts.

2005 aramda wont start

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem first.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.
You may need to buy a book to get all of the info you need.

My 2005 Nissan Armada is reading oil pressure abnormally high. The gauge is maxed out.

  • Well it could be a bad oil pump or a bad Oil Sending Unit. If you have an oil pressure gauge you can pull the sending unit and stick the pressure gauge in there and see what the reading is. I would thing 60PSI would be suitable.
  • I believe this Oil Sending Unit is on the front (possibly the back) of the oil pan.
  • Just remove the connector and put a wrench (or a deep socket) and twist it out and replace with a new one.
  • Make sure the oil filter is snug and not leaking as well.
  • Check your oil level too and make sure it is properly filled.
  • Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

How to change fuel filter on 2005 nissan armada

I would start by pulling the fuel pump fuse and starting the vehicle. This will get rid of the pressure on the fuel line. Once the vehicle will not start crank it over for about 10-15 seconds. Then the fuel filter is located under the brake booster on the drivers side. It has two hose clamps that hold it on. Remove the two hose clamps and replace the filter. Then install the fuel pump fuse. Turn the key to the on position and wait till you hear the fuel pump shut off. Turn the key off and repeat this step 3 times to build fuel pressure. Then you should be ready to go!
