There is not a tensioner on this model vehicle. They use a elastic type belt that stretches and goes over the pulleys and glide it over. There is a BMW special tool to not damage the belt as it goes on but can also use a screwdriver or pry bar to ease it on.
The fuel pump is under the read seat on the passengers side.the is a special tool to remove the cover,but if you are careful you can twist it off with a large pair of channel locks.
lift the back seat and you will see an inspection cover ,remove the cover and the fuel sender unit is underneath ,most vehicles use a big round plastic ring to hold the sender unit in and you may have to buy a special tool to undo it ,i use a old belt tupe oil filter removal tool where i have extended the belt part with a length of old seat belt ,crude but very effective
no. you only need the 15mm/16mm spanner to turn the tensioner handle until you see a hole to lock the handle with a small allen key or something fit inside. (CAUTION: be carefull of the handle will slam backward and broke the stopper. dont release in suddent. ) check your alternator run freely. turn with your hand with the belt off.
I am presuming you mean the pollen filter which is fitted under the grill where the wiper motor spindle come through, you have to remove the wiper blades on some models but it is really straight forwards.
You have to install a special tool in the camshafts,i would suggest that you have a repair shop do the work. If your not experienced and you dont have the proper alignment tool.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the cooling system.
Remove the distributor cap and rotor. Remove the rotor adapter, the dust shield and the distributor housing.
Remove the fan. The fan must be held stationary with tool 11 5 030 or some sort of flat blade cut to fit over the hub and drilled to fit over 2 of the studs on the front of the pulley. Remove the fan coupling nut; left hand thread-turn clockwise to remove.
Remove the belt and pulley.
Remove the rubber guard and distributor and or upper timing belt cover.
Compress the timing tensioner spring and clamp pin with the proper tool.
Observe the installed position of the tensioner spring pin on the water pump housing for reinstallation purposes.
Remove the water hoses, remove the 3 water pump bolts and remove the pump.
To install:
Clean the gasket surfaces and use a new gasket.
Install the water pump in position. Note the position of the tensioner spring pin. Torque M8 bolts to 16-17 ft. lbs. (20-24 Nm) and M6 bolts to 6-7 ft. lbs. (8-10 Nm). Connect the hoses.
Release the tensioner from the holding pin. Install the upper timing cover. Install the pulley and tighten the bolts to 6-7 ft. lbs. (8-10 Nm). Install the belt and tighten.
Install the fan, distributor housing and dust shield. Tighten the rotor adapter to 39-47 ft. lbs. (55-65 Nm). Install the rotor, O-ring and cap.
