Hello,
I live in Slovenia/Europe. I am owner of the Voyager 2.5 SE Turbo diesel for more than 17 years and I am engineer of electronic as well. I do not have any electrical drawings of the particular circuits so it is quite difficult for me to find the failure. I believe this model does not have any diagnostics built in (the chassis No is:1C4GHN5M2PU100233 of the year 1993).
When I turned the key in the lock of the wheel to start the engine (my English is not perfect) the lights at the dashboard did not illuminate and started motor did not start. At first I though about the battery but it is 3 years old one with the voltage measured - by me - of 12,7 V (Capacity of 74 Ah). Also when I switched on the head lamps, the voltage drop is quite small so I think the battery is OK. During the turning of the key in the wheel lock I can hear also some relays to be energised and I can hear also A sound of the open door (by the door switch).
I would like to mention that I had a similar problem few years ago when my daughter put a head lamps for whole day on when the car was parked outside. The symptoms were quite similar like now and when I had changed the battery later the problems were resolved.
Is the lock (with internal switches) at the wheel causing this problem or is a certain relay stacked or still something else like bad contact - where?
This is the first time that the car can not return to our home.I have checked also the fuses (gauge&ignition) and those were OK.
Thank you very much in advance for Your reply and
If there is any possibility to send me/e-mail the electrical drawings this will help me a lot.
Best regards,
Dusan Malis

there is a pink wire that is an all time power wire and it has lost power I just had the same problem so what I did it I took the stereo out of the dash "mine is aftermarket" I then ran a wire form an orange wire under the steering wheel "which is hot with the key off" and then from that orange wire to the pink wire behind the stereo and everything started working again like it was supposed to. If you have any more problems email me at [email protected] and ill try to help

Hello, I would assume this is your fuel pump inside your tank. I would first however do some basics like a general tuneup. For starters I would replace your spark plugs and wires, rotary cap and button and check your fuses. Run some injector cleaner through your system. You know quick simple cheap things before you get to the fuel pump inside the gas tank which can be kinda expensive. The warm up then dies can be caused by, "blownout or fouled," spark plugs. I hope this gives you a general direction in which to go. A sidenote is that coil packs do not normally run an igntion code and I for one do not like them becuase they are expensive.

test replace the fuel pump relay, make sure the relay socket has 12 volts to 2 of it's terminal when the key is held in crank position, if not you may have a defective ignition switch or Powertrain control module (PCM)

You need a wiring diagram before you start and get out your meter. How did you check out the relays? Remove them, power up the coils and read OHM's across all contacts or use the buzzer on the meter? You missed one The fact the solenoid is good doesn't mean the contacts inside aren't burnt and not applying current to the starter motor. We over look the easy stuff most of the time. Did you do a voltage drop test on the starter while trying to crank? A new solenoid may be all you need.

Problem #1 The blinking lights in the rear wiper rear defrost area can be reset by holding 2 buttons of the 3 on the left hand side. The top and bottom buttons. Turn the key on and hold them for about 10 sec and they should start flashing differently. Just let it do this. After they start flashing different. It will take 5 to 10 mins. Then one or more will quit flashing all together. If they don't after about 20 min reset them again it can take about 5 trys sometimes before they all go out. Also to fix the dash going out try this. This is a common problem with the voyager, caravans and Town & Countrys. What the problem is is a cold soder in the interment cluster itself. The problem area is where the plug comes from the van into the cluster. You need to take the circuit board out of the cluster and reheat the soder on the back side of the circuit board were the plug plugs into. This will fix the cold soder permanitly I think its about 16 pins you have to reheat with the soder gun. If you don't feel comfrotable doing that you can just replace the interment cluster and it will be fine but if you buy a used one make sure it was tested. This also may fix the ABS light and the airbag light. Hope this helps I have done several of them.

I've found the cause of the problem. It was the lock at the steering wheel which could not provide contact (+ Voltage) to the fuse box. I made temporary shortcut from 12 V good terminal to the blue wire just to move the car to home.
Regards to everbody who is interested.
