2008 VW Jetta Mp3/iPod won't play

I have a 2008 VW Jetta Wolfsburg edition and have not been able to play my iPod in the vehicle since shipping it overseas. Would this be due to the battery being disconnected and if so, does the radio need to be recoded in order for it to function properly and recognize my iPod? The stereo system operates great but it is the MP3 function that does not. I purchased a new iPod and it won't play either. Should I consider contacting a dealer here in Germany to recode it if that is in fact what is needed? Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

2007 Jetta 12V Outlet Issue - Which Fuse?

My 12V outlet went out and of course looking at my manual it was not giving the right location. After trying the different empty slots I discovered that the 12 V outlet fuse for my 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg was 6 rows down and 3 slots over. I hoped this helps someone else from the headaches of searching for it

Clicking noise under the dash of a 2008 vw jetta wolfsburg addition

This problem is very common with MkV VW's. It's related to the heat and evaporator components. It's some sort of flap motor.

How to change an air filter on a 2008 jetta 2.0 turbo

On the VW Jetta MkV, the cabin filter is underneath the glove box. Access is gained by removing two plastic screws, gently pulling down a piece of foam insulation, and releasing a single clip to detach the filter. It (and some debris from it) fall easily onto the floor mat below. Insert the new cabin filter, replace the insulation, re-screw the screws, and within 3 minutes, you're back in business with fresh air and clean hands besides!
