Question about 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier
It's possible that it's the thermal switch that sends the ground signal to the cooling fan relay, or possibly that your cooling fan relay's internal contacts have burn points, causing the contacts to stick together at times. There may also be no problem at all. If you are running your A/C, or have your defroster on, which also causes your A/C compressor to run, your cooling fan will run so that it draws air over the A/C condensor, to exchange the heat the freon carries from the evaporator core to the A/C condensor.
