My 2004 GMC sierra blows hot air out the drivers side and cold air out the passenger side. I replaced both door actuators, one on floor in the center of the truck the other under the dash near the drivers side. But no luck it still blows out hot air.

How do I know if the actuators are working. Before I put the one in the middle of the truck down by floor in I move the Duel temp setting up and down and watched the round circle in the actuator turn. I took it back out but left it wired up, and did the same. But the round circle in the actuator did not turn.

If you've replaced the actuators and they are working.
One of the blend doors may be broken inside the heater box. To repair or replace the broken door you
have to remove the heater box. This is not a small job. The book gives 6-7 hours for the job. There is a
cheat that I've heard good things about. I guess it can
be done in a fraction of the time. You can find out
about it at heatertreater.net I have not used it myself
but I know somone who has. And it worked well for
him. Hope this helps.

Of the 5 wires that come from the mode actuator. None of them appear to be a ground. So when you removed the actuator, that may have interupted the ground.Try using a clip lead to ground the

actuator and the cam should turn. Also while the act. moter is off,

mark the door position and try to move the blend door by hand.

And see if it's broken or bound up. Let me know how you make out.

The electronic control ac works normal on

The temperature control doors are controlled with electric actuators. Often what happens is either the drivers or passenger side temp door actuator will work properly for a while then suddenly move the door all the way to hot or cold [usually hot]. If you shut off the vehicle, wait a bit and restart it, if often will work fine for a time but then act up again after a while. I've replaced quite a few actuators for just this problem. They are located behind the dash on the HVAC unit and are fairly difficult to get to. I don't know if these actuators are available at parts stores yet but I get all of mine from the local GM dealer.

2002 gmc sierra blows Hot air thru ac vent on drivers side. Whats going on? Setings are set for cold air and we are getting cold air thru vents on passenger side.

We have this fairly often on our gm fleet with dual air controls. Replace the actuator and you will be good again (for a while!)

2004 duramax dual climate control the driver side blows cold

Thankfully it was the drivers side controller! I found the temp control actuator located under the dash almost on the floor. I removed the four screws that held the cover in place then followed the wires to the actuator. removed the wiring harness then the two screws. replace with new part and heat works again!
