The climate control cpu could be going bad. My Riviera had a fried plug that went to the climate cpu and I replaced just that. To check it out it can be found behind the glovebox.

no ,the climate control assembly has a problem of shorting out to black, sometimes a good hit brings it back for awhile.the blower motor problem is the blower motor resistor,if you under the dash, behind the glove box you will find the blower motor, follow the motor wire about 10 inches away from motor and they plug into the faulty resistor.

Electronic climate control has a mind of its own

the climate control head units go out in these cars with age. The steering wheel controls are probably losing conection. You can replace the turnsignal switch or gently bent the little copper prongs back up.

Climate controls are now in Celsius. HELP

On your DIC (driver information center) to the left you will see 3 buttons arranged vertically.
The ENG/MET button is used to switch between english and metric. Push that button until all displays are in english, that should return your climate control to fahrenheit.

Once you have completed that, push and hold the "reset" button down for 2 seconds ( button just below the ENG/MET button). That should reset you DIC to the default brightness as well as your other displays.

Give it a try and let me know.

this system has self testing capabilities, have any GM dealer test it for codes and proper function, If I had to guess I would say the climate control head is defective.

2006 Lincoln Navigator. My driver side heated seat is flaking out. I turn it on after starting the vehicle and it comes on for about 20 seconds and then shuts off. If i push the button a second time it...

Electronics involved !
The climate control seat system is able to heat and cool the front seats. Each climate controlled seat is operated by push-buttons on the dual automatic temperature controller (EATC) located on the instrument panel. Each front seat temperature is then monitored and controlled by the dual climate control seat module (dual CCSM) located underneath the passenger front seat cushion.

Both the driver and front passenger climate controlled seats are independently controlled electronically by the dual climate controlled seat module (CCSM) mounted to the bottom of the passenger seat cushion. The climate controlled seat system only operates with the engine running, however, if using a diagnostic tool to command the dual CCSM, diagnostic testing can be carried out with the ignition switch key ON engine OFF (KOEO). The system receives power from central junction box (CJB) fuse 118 (30A) through circuit 1153 (RD/BK) feeding battery voltage into dual CCSM C3265b pins 1 and 24. If power is disconnected from either pin 1 or 24 of dual CCSM C3265b, only 1 seat will be disabled (pin 1 for driver seat, pin 24 for passenger seat), the other will remain operational. Since both climate controlled seats operate independently, if a fault occurs setting a DTC specific to either climate controlled seat, only the affected seat will be disabled by the module and the other will remain operational.

Sorry , but it would be best for you to take it to the dealer or someother qualified repair shop.
