Tail lights work but all my brake lights are out

If your 2010 Crown Victoria has functioning headlights, brake lights, and turn signals but no tail lights, the issue could be with the tail light circuit or with a specific component in the tail light assembly.

Should all be the same fuze. Check the bulbs and whether the harness to the rear lights that usually runs through the trunk hasn't been pulled.

You might have a bad wirre in one of the tail light housings.they get corroded and rotten

Turn signal tail lights and BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its blown brake light bulb. First check and confirm brake light lamp is working and that's not the case.

Look at fuse #18, a 15 amp fuse, in the fuse block. This fuse powers both the tail lights and instrument cluster lights. Usually both of these light systems are powered by the same fuse so when your cluster isn't lit up you'll know right away that your tail lights aren't working as it's not safe to drive without tail lights. Your brake, turn, and head lamps are powered by different circuits. Hope this helps and good luck!

my 2007 hhr tail lights don't work,brake lights and turn signals work.cant find a fuse for the rear taillights

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine

if it has a trailer package look at the splitter when you take off the tail light cover might be that plug.

First ensure the bulbs are fine.

Check and replace the fuse in your fuse box.

If it keeps blowing after replacing the brake lights fuse, then there is a short on the wires, you need to check wiring.

If fuse is ok and there is no brake light check wiring to the lights, there is a broken connection or an open wiring to the brake lights.

Note: brake lights are usually not dependent from tail lights, they have separate wiring.
