I changed the manufactures stereo out of my 1999 ford escort wagon and replaced it with another and faceplate now i cant get the temperature control switch hooked back up how do i do that?

Connecting the A/C temperature cable (19988) to the heater core housing.

  1. Unlock the heater temperature cable by pulling down the tab.
  1. Disconnect the heater temperature cable while holding the tab down.
  2. i changed the manufactures stereo out of my 1999 - 6bece46.gif
    This is for removal, but just go backwards to assemble.

on the bottom left driver side unplug the black circular module that controls the temperature disable your stereo to hook back up to the teeth on the knob then feed the wire through back to where the module plugs in then put the stereo in the go under your steering wheel to the black module and plug it in now you have temperature back.

Removal
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).
  1. Rotate the temperature control switch to the COOL position.

  1. Disconnect the A/C temperature cable (19988) from the heater core housing.
    1. Unlock the heater temperature cable by pulling down the tab.
    1. Disconnect the heater temperature cable while holding the tab down.

  1. Use the Radio Removing Tool to pull the integrated control panel out of the instrument panel (04320).

  1. Disconnect the vacuum harness from the function selector switch.

  1. Disconnect the radio antenna lead in cable (18812) and the electrical connectors and remove the control assembly.

HOW TO REPLACE STOP LIGHT BULB ON 1999 FORD ESCORT WAGON

Open your trunk or hatch,you may have to pull back the carpet that will cover the tailight lens mounts on the inside.There are 3-or 4 plastic wing nut style nuts behind the light in the trunk. remove these,and pull the lens out from the outside. the lighs will turn usually counter clockwise. replace burnt bulbs. replace the lens,and refasten the nuts carefully.

The multi function switch which controls the high/low beams ,turn signals etc is under the wheel. Remove the steering wheel to gain access.
