The cam shaft sensor has to be located on the camshaft (thus the name) you will be looking for a fairly decent sized roundish cover usually on the back of the engine with more than likely three wires coming off of it, it will have two mounting screws, why are you needing to remove this?

The sensor responds to the valve shaft movement. This sensor is a kind of potentiometer which transforms the swirl control valve position into output voltage, and emits the voltage signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).

HOW HARD OF A JOB IS REPLACING CRANK SENSER ON 2004 NISSON SENTRA

on a 4 cyl is very easy, Nissan recommends replacement of both the crank and cam sensor together, but the crank sensor is in the back of the engine, near the transmission bell housing under the engine mount bracket. the cam sensor is in the back of the cylinder head and both have 1 bolt each, 10mm.

Nissan 2006 sentra cam shaft sensor keeps going out. ive replaced 4 times and continues to have check engine light come on and it reads cam shaft sensor why and what

I would google the code and see what other owners did to correct the problem. It may be an electrical short or lose connection in harness.

1999 Nissan Sentra Cam Shaft Sensor: So, I'm reading conflicting reports. Is it necessary to completely replace the distributor when the cam shaft sensor breaks or can the sensor be replaced by itself. ...

yes cam sensor is located in the distributor best way is to replace distributor .you will need a 12mm wrench. and a Philips screw driver. first mark the position the base is at because its adjustable.remove the cap with wires still attached and move it to the side.remove the rotor in the center.remove the distributor. upon istalation of new one the slot at bottom of distributor only goes on in one position then reinstall rotor and the cap.

2000 Nissan Sentra Crankshaft Position and Replacement

Go to dealership they will give a diagram to locate every single one. I replace them on my daughter car. I believe there were three sensors. I exactly know what you are talking about. I had a hard time locating the back one right above the drive shaft on driver side.
