Does anyone know the fuse # for a 2006 Nissan Altima Drivers side headlight. Replaced the bulb but still not working. I was told each headlight is on a separate fuse. [email protected]
Thanks for responding. I did find the bad fuse. nothing is numbered in the fusebox. I had to pull every 15 amp to get the right one. Headlight is fine now. $13.99 for the bulb and $2.00 for the fuse. Just saved $125.00(for a headlight out) and a trip to the dealer. You have no Idea how infuriating stuff like this is. Been working on cars since the late 60's I keep on finding ways to outsmart the car manufacturers. Thanks for responding. I did find the bad fuse. nothing is numbered in the fusebox. This is not a very reliable answer but my right headlight went out as we'll and before I bought a bulb I talked to different guys at work, they suggested giving the headlight a good solid tap on the outside and sure enough it came back on. Hopefully this might work for others as well!
There is a fuse panel on the drivers side under
the steering wheel on the left as well as under the bonnet (hood) in a small
black box labeled....fuses.
you will find another fuse block under hood near windshield washer fill neck.remove the cover and it will show the location of headlamp fuses.most likely is a blown fuse.
Need to disconnect ground to battery before replacing light bulb or fuse will blow. Fuse is located in engine compartment next to windshield washer fluid.
If you just want to replace the bulb yourself, this is a good website.
http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Nissan-Altima-Headlight-Bulb/Nissan-Altima-Passenger-Side-Headlight.htm If the website does't get your headlight fixed... You might have a blown fuse. It could be in the IPDM E/R location under the hood. This is next to the coolant bottle. Remove the coolant bottle with two screws and lift the cover to the IPDM E/R. Just set the coolant bottle aside for now. The low beam fuses are 49 and 50. They are 15A fuses. To be more precise, they are located on row 2, columns 2 and 3 (column 1 being closest to the fender of the car). Hope this helps.
Have you taken your Altima to a dealership in a while? There was a recall on the 05 Altima for misalligned headlights...thus resulting in poor lighting quality...this could be the reason as well...
