Drain the coolant out of the radiator, and run water and coolant flush thru it. Its best left to a mechanic, but fairly simple to do it yourself.
Some coolant flush jugs have instructions on how to do it.

Sounds like its time for a coolant system flush and "tune-up" .. you will need to replace the thermostat, reverse flush the entire coolant system, check the hoses for wear (they wear out/deteriorate from the inside).... look for "bubbled" or rippled areas inside the hose..replace if you have any questions!!!
....and refill with antifreeze..
you should be ok after this....This should be done at least every two years or 60K-75K miles...
Yes. there is a drain for the a/c near the heater core connections. Water should drip from it when the a/c is running. But if the heater core is leaking, antifreeze will drip or run from this drain.
do you smell antifreeze? does it steam up windshield when defrosters are on? is there antifreeze on the floor. if your answer is yes to any of the questions i asked its heater core. the best thing to do is go to a web site of any major auto parts store they will have all the diagrams and instuctions you will need to do this.
