Hi on my 1992 crown vic i have a rough idol on a cold start what could this be? i have a new fuel filter new plugs wires are not to bad i really dont know but thats a start.no check engine light on at start up.

can you hear the fuel pump working if not check the wiring and power and ground by the tank. check fuel pressure, as if its low it won`t start, you can get bad new parts. do you have spark at the plugs. check for codes. just some places to start.
i am trying to install an aftermarket temperature guage with capillary tube into my 1988 crown victoria ltd 5.0 efi. where does the capillary tube mount?
Replace you Maf sensor and have a nice day. lol does the hesitation go away when you let off the gas. does it buck hesitate and misfire under load? most common problem is the maf sesnor.
easy to change. don't buy a used part it may develop the same problem after a little while. you can try cleaning the wire inside with brake cleaner (not intake cleaner). it may or may not help.
