Ford coats the undercarriage with a red paint which acts as a anti rust shield the paint is covered by paint job for your car at the last parts of the assembly line at most ford factories so yes ford does put the undercoating for all newer fords :)

Why did 2004 ranger engine seize?

Water will make metal rust. Rust will seize a motor. You probably have a bad head gasket which leaked water into the oil passages or a cracked block.

I have a rusted roof on my ford ranger. Should I fix it with fiberglass or bondo?

IF it's surface rust you should sand down to bare metal, prime then paint. If it's holes and you don't want to weld in new sheet metal patches then go with bondo

Back brakes on ford ranger

What about using the drum on the other side as a guide? If it is in the same condition, then check out these general diagrams on this page. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-parts/brakes/brake-types/drum-brake.htm I have a photo on my cell phone of the drums on my mother-in-laws 1991Ranger I can send you when I find that stupid mini-usb cable (if you still need it).

Where is the fuel filter on a 91 ford ranger?

It is mounted on the inside of the frame rail, under the vehicle, about level with the front of the driver's side door. It can be easily overlooked, as it is protected by a metal guard that has to be removed to access it.

1998 Ford Ranger super cab heater fan problem

Check the resistor block. It is located under the hood on the passenger side firewall under the fan motor. It has two small screws holding it in place with a wiring plug attached. Clean out corrosion to restore good electrical connections. If cleaning does not restore operation a new resistor block will be required. Weatherproof the outside of the wiring plug to prevent further corrosion and reassemble.
