My 66 mustang pops when I turn it right. I think

My 66 mustang pops when I turn it right. I think there are suspension/bushing problems. Looks like the original idle arm and other parts. This is not a pony model - just the standard 289. When the car is up int he air, there is a lot of play in the wheels. Suggestions?

The first suggestion is to replace the tie rods. In most cases where there is alot of play and a popping sound when the wheel is turned is because the inner parts of the tie rods are worn through and should be replaced as soon as possible. You could lose control easily if the tie rod pops out completely.
There are inner and outer tie rod ends which keep the wheel in a straight line while attached to the axle. Tie rod ends can be found on the inside of the wheel and are attatched to a longer metal bar which allows tight steering by controling the path of the wheels. The tie rod ends themselves look of a ratchet, with the handle end being threaded.

I drive a Mazda sle 2.5 turbo diesel my problem is the steering it does not completely turn to the right the steering wheel turns 1 and a half turns to the right and 2 times to the left please can someone...

Hmm, the only thing I can think of then is a lot of vehicles use 'bump stops', rubber bushings that stop the steering before the wheels/tires can contact the frame or suspension components. One of these bushing may have come loose or fallen off. Other than that idea I don't know what to suggest.

Hope this was helpful.

When shift the gear in reverse position the jerks and then move and all the mountings are ok.

Hi,

Looks like the lower suspension bushing are already loose.

The **** be felt when the wheel turns to reverse, check also the tie rod and rear suspension bushing.

My 66 mustang pops when I turn it right. I think

ball joints are your problem, but also have your tie rods checked. if you can move your tie rods with your hand they need to be replaced. check your balljoints by lifting your car and grabbing a front wheel and moving it up and down if you feel slack, replace balljoints as soon as possible, as it is dangerous to drive in that condition.

Ball joints been replace and i hear scrubing, clunking. and popping. when come to a stop or taking off. the popping can heard and felt on passerger floor board

I think you mean of the CV joints were replaced, right ? if so , your noise could be coming from your MacPherson strut, or possibly the stabilizer bushings. I would check the suspension components and the steering components of the rack.
