I just did a tune up on my 2004 Chevy Tahoe. I replaced the plugs and wires. The dealer told me the plugs were pregapped at .04 and I should not change them. My old plugs were at .06. The truck runs great but I now have a slight hesitation from start and the truck idles rough when in gear. Do I have to get the computer reprogrammed for the new plugs, do I need to regap the new plugs to the old settings, or is it something else?

Gap the at .060 to get it right. The dealer is wrong about your specific engine gap. These plugs fits many other vehicles with the preset gap but yours is different

On a 2004 chevy tahoe. Once the instrument cluster wire clip is detached and new bulbs are soldered on the cluster. Does the instrument cluster have to be reprogrammed ?

Shouldn't need reprogramming. I removed the cluster from my 04 Silverado and sent it in for repair and replacement of the bulbs. It was out of my truck for 2 weeks. When I got it back everything worked just fine, no problems at all.

Is a 2004 tahoe sound system comparable with a 2001 tahoe

well i guess it all depends on if it fits? u can put most any radio and speakers into a car and it fits and all the wires match up, but u also have to have the right connection, and if ur not sure how to put it in i would suggjest just going to a automobile shop or car dealer near you. Hope it helped

What part get replaced on a complete tune up on a 2000 chevy tahoe?

I would replace
1. spark plugs. Do not go cheap on the plugs use the proper AC Delco spark plug
2. cap and rotor
3. spark plug wires
4.fuel filter
and then i would have a fuel injection cleaning done . there is not a timing adjustment or air fuel adjustment this is all done by the PCM ( Powertrain Control Module )

I'm getting a p0300 code (random/multiple misfire) on my 2004 Chevy Tahoe after replacing the plugs and wires. The wires were installed in the correct order. Any ideas would be appreciated.

how does it run? if runs good then have code cleared but if not then you need to make sure the wires are pushed all the way on the plugs and coil make sure the plug gap is correct and make sure all the plugs are good and not cracked or damaged, you may have to pull plugs out one by one. did you be chance unplug maybe an injector or coil and for got to plug it in? please let me know what you find and i will help you

My 1996 chevy tahoe has rougha rough idle and low r.p.m's in drive what can i do to solve this problem

I would do a full tune up first. Plugs, wires, rotor, cap and coil. If your idle is still rough consider MAP sensor, idle position sensor, or any other emissions sensors maybe suspect. They usually set codes that would trigger your "check engine" light. On the other hand check belts and tension pully if you have one. Lastley, change the fuel filter put in some injector cleaner. A good shop can test the fuel pressure from the fuel pump. I hope this can help.
