First, make sure you don't have a bad relay or poor contact at the horn button. You can do this with an automotive 'test light' or any multimeter.
The common horn is adjustable and the contacts inside them do wear down.
Check the body of the horn for a screw with a lock-nut that is visibly not used for mounting.
This is the adjustment; loosen the nut you may have to experiment trying both in and out while someone holds the horn button depressed.
Don't leap out of your skin when it suddenly blares at you :-)
its trying to warn you ,there is a problem with the electrics.try the eath of the horn, see if its earthed good.
the engine light will probly go off after that fix.
If you found two wires, they both attach to the horn pad on the wheel...Unless there is something wrong with the horn or relay, touching them together should make the horn blow. The pad is two separate plates. When you push on the pad the two plates come together and make contact just like touching the wires together. Hot wire the horn to the battery and test it, then check the horn relay if the horn itself works, but touching the wires together or grounding either of them dosen't work..
I may can help with the transmision part. Will your cruise work? If not, this is your fix.
Sitting in the driver seat, to the left of the gear shift is a small tab that says shift lock overide. Pop this tab off and push a small screw driver down until it releases the lock while trying to shift into gear . To fix the problem replace the brake light/cruise control switch. (can be found at most auto zone stores $40-60). It is a pin switch located just above the brake pedal. Mash the brake an you will be able to see it operate. Easy to replace.
