My truck wont always start bought a new battery so thats not it auto zone said not getting enough air when it starts

Is the battery turning over the engine properly or is it barely cranking over? The main function of a battery is to provide the power to turn the engine over until the engine starts, then it's only function is to help regulate the voltage in your system along with the alternator. Will the truck start when you hook it up to jumper cables? If the engine is turning over properly and the truck not starting, the battery is not the problem. You then need check out other things. For a gasoline engine to run, it requires three things; fuel to burn, compression in the engine and a spark at the right time to ignite the fuel. You must have all three for it to work.

My 2008 Dodge Avenger's battery is dead, I have jumped it 4 to 5 times. The car keeps running after removing the jumper cables and the battery charges up enough to restart it a couple of hour later. It...

These cars have become notorious for high battery drain when parked. Coupled with the "exterior illumination" feature that turns on the headlights whenever you unlock the doors remotely, they discharge batteries at an alarming rate when just putted around town. This started happening to ours, and I removed the battery and opened it up (yes, you CAN do that, if you know what you're doing) and sampled the specific gravity. After a low rate recharge, ALL cells were actually a bit on the high side, typical for a cheap OEM battery, but indicating that there was a charge present. After three days of sitting and some cold weather, it wouldn't crank the engine again. The problem appears to be around town driving, along with the unneccesary use of headlights when unlocking, with the high current drain when parked thrown in. Also, the typical cheap Chrysler battery terminals need constant cleaning/burnishing. I highly recommend this and protective grease. Since doing this, I've had some "low charge" incidents, but the car always starts.

Suddenly cut off after lossing electrical power on all inside lights and gauges. also has low charge. is it the alternator or battery? also the o2 wire is disconnect

there may be a short on the battery (most likely) yet you can get it checked for free at any local (national chain) auto parts store they will check both at no charge to you and offer replacements remanufactured alternators usually they have in stock.

Hi
Easiest test is to reconnect jumper cables and switch lights on, if these work and no noise AT ALL from starter, NO clicking at all then could be the jumper cables are too light like most are. Try 2 sets of jumper cables. Ensure that the cables are correclty applied, Red to Red and the black is the last connection to a good steel part on your engine, NOT the battery.Always ensure the car being used to jump from is running at all times while cables are connected. When it starts remove this one FIRST also.
