The car has a computer that is linked to the engine. It is hard wired to it meaning the computer is always on. Upon shutting your engine off taking the keys in hand the computer is still on sensing the engines temperture. The coolant sensor will send power to the relay to keep the fans running untill cooled down enough. Then the sensor will cut off power to the relay shutting off the fans
My 2010 X-type 2.0l diesel car engine cooling fans `run on` after very short journeys (ie 1 to 2 miles) from cold! And the radiators are cold to touch when they start. One jaguar dealer told me to remove the fan module fuse (5A) to stop the fans from flattening the battery, but this did not stop the fans and I have been unable to find a fuse that would cut off their supply. What can one do without disconnecting the battery?

What can i do to stop radiator fan off
I had same problem, turns out to be thermostat.
Some run on is normal, say up to 12 minutes or so. This is due to the engine still needing a cool down after driving. If it stays on for a real long time, an hour or so it needs dealer attn.
It should remain on for ten minutes or until the engine finishes cooling down.
SOURCE: The electric radiator cooling fan will not turn off
As long as the fan eventually shuts off this isn't a problem, the fan will continue to run for a bit after the car is turned off, once it reaches a set temprature it will turn off.
SOURCE: Radiator fan remains on, after car is turn off and
Stuck fan relay or switch. It is supposed to run for a while and may cycle a couple times but not steady !!!!!
SOURCE: cooling/electrical
Its commonly known as a thermo-fan (thermostat). runs off power until engine cools.... pulls extra air flow through radiator when car is idling. Check to ensure radiator is full (water/ coolant), but it is normal for it to run for a min or 2 after engine shut off. Still, CHECK YOUR RADIATOR IS FULL, because dry engines die young.
SOURCE: Both radiator cooling fans won't turn on vehicle overheats
The fans come on only when hot or the AC is on. There are many fuses that have to be good for it to work. The fan relay should have 2 pins hot with the key on, The other 2 should be ground. with the key off one should be hot and the other can then be ground the other pins that are ground one of them is the fan. the other becomes ground when the computer turns the fans on. If you don't have a pin thats hot at the relay all the time then theres a blown fuse or even the power wire from the battery at the battery

The cooling fans will run until the coolant drops below the preset temperature level. So I am not to concerned with that unless we are talking an extremely long time.
But what warning lights are you referring too? That could or could not be a problem.
"Radiator fan" "Engine Fan" "COOLING FAN WILL NOT TURN OFF"
