2005 chrysler 300c. The pedal is to the floor RPMs rev high but car does not want to accelerate unless I shut the car off and restart the car. It solves the problem and seems to be normal and I am able to accelerate just fine with no hessitaion from the car, until the next time I stop again to idle and need to accelerate. The check engine light kept coming on then would turn off random. The check engine light put out an error code for EGR and Speed sensor. I just had my EGR replaced and ALL my sensors updated. Incuding the speed sensor. After leaving the dealership thinking the problem was solved IT WAS NOT. I need help to pin point why the car is not accelerating correctly/ trouble getting into first gear. Please help solve this problem so I can get it fixed.

Replace the EGR valve, the code is for EGR system performance

I have a 2006 5.7 Hemi 300C AWD - #4 cylinder started to misfire at idle. Problem just happened without cause on a Sunday morning. Dealership mechanics have exchanges coils, PCM, etc. problem stays with #4 and is sporadic (soemtiem cold idle, sometimes hot). Happened after a new fill of 90 octane gas from Shell (always use this station, never any previous problems). Car is in perfect shape, with only the dealer ever touching it at every req. maintenance schedule. Today they are pulling the head to check for valve issues. SMART troubleshooting trees and TSB's are no help so far. Anyone else with a solution?

With out being able to see it sounds like you have a misadjusted or broken park lock cable. there is a cable that locks shifter in park unless Brake pedal is depressed. So if you are pressing the brake and can not shift into a gear. that would be the first place I would check

on the 3.5 engines the valves dont rotate unless engine rpms are run between3500 to 5000 wich causes carbon build up on the valves wich causes a misfire chrysler has a valve train update kit where they put new springs and clips that let the valves rotate at a lower rpm to keep them clean
