Fuel Pressure Regulator is probably leaking. 10 minute fix you can do yourself , parts available at local store.

Did you check the fuel pump relay ? The relay gets power from a fuse and also from the PCM relay. The computer grounds the relay to turn it on for 3 seconds when you turn the key on, then only after the computer "sees" RPM or oil pressure.

Won`t start when cold

No such thing on your car.
The temp sensor tells the computer what the engine coolant temp is.
If it were faulty you would get a check engine light.
I would have the fuel pressure checked before and after you crank the engine. The pump relay provides power to the pump when you turn the key on to recover some of the lost fuel pressure after the car sits. The one way valve in the pump is supposed to prevent the pressure from dropping.
If the fuel pressure drops to zero it could take some time to crank the engine enough to get it back up.

Helloo guys ,, I think that i have a problem with my 2005 civic, every morning when i want to start my car it takes me from 2-3 times to start the car , after that when i go for a drive and turn it of and...

HI, curious condition....you might try something to see if it is a fuel problem perhaps. Try a cold start (first thing in the morning as you say) but instead of jumping in and cranking it over, turn the key to the run position (all the way on right before you bump the starter) and wait 10 seconds before actually cranking the motor over. If it starts right up after trying this wait, it may not be priming correctly and should look at the fuel pressure regulator. (I'm thinking after is has been running, it is already primed and perhaps keeping too much prime pressure, hence the quick start when hot)...just a thought before assuming there is something amiss in the ignition or injection systems......Mike....please reply

Truck ran fine set for an hour or so come back would not star 3 attempts waited for a little while cranked up. went out this morning would not crank up 5 attempts.Notice batt. was dragging went and had it...

Most of your discription would indicate a bad starter,
if your talking about the engine turning over or cranking

Some people call a no start or no ignition, a not cranking
situation, which is a wrong statement.

You may have a bad fuel pump, if the motor turns
over but won't start.

Have an 85 chevy 4x4. I just had the 305 engine rebuilt with a new intake and carb. It was working fine for a couple days and one morning I went to start er up and the engine just cranked and cranked,...

When you turn the key front. Listen for the fuel pump to prime. It should sound like a low humming noise that lasts about 3 seconds. If it does then check for spark by pulling one of our sparkplug wires and putting an extra spark plug in it. Place the end of the wire down somewhere safe and crank the motor. If you can't seek spark in the plug, it is most likely your coil failing. So, check fuel pump and fuel pump relays first, then spark. Good Luck.

1994 Geo Prizm LSI running one day won't crank next day

turns over and crank are the same thing,
so you are saying it does crank over but no start, right?
you need to determine if you have at least 50psi of fuel pressure in fuel rail at reed valve.

1999 Chevy S10 cranks but wont start

A very common problem on the 99 S10 is a leaky fuel pressure regulator in the intake plenum. What happens is when the truck sits for a few hours or more the regulator leaks all of the fuel in the fuel injection system into the intake air plenum. This does 2 things, 1 it has no fuel pressure when starting and 2 it floods the air intake with raw fuel. Sometimes if you turn the key on wait 3 seconds then turn key off then turn key back on and just turn key to crank starter for a split second and wait 3 seconds.do this 3 times to repressurize fuel system then crank to start(you will hear fuel pump buzz each time you do this.also you may have leaky fuel injectors. Try to crank engine with the gas pedel to the floor. This will tell the computer to stop spraying fuel trhough the injectors and it will start. Joe ASE Master Tech

5 Cranks to Start

I had the same problem with my 1999 chevy dually. I tried everything and finally after a lot of lost sleep headaches and money we found the injectors were leaking. It was expensive but it starts right up now.
