I have a 2003 Grand Caravan 3.8l that is loosing coolant

I have a 2003 Grand Caravan Sport. I had no heat and checked the coolant level and it was way down. I went under the vehicle and can not identify any leaks and do not have any leaks on the ground. I refilled the coolant and the heater is working. But after checking the coolant level I am continuing to loose coolant without any signs of it on the ground. I do not have any signs that the heater core is leaking in the interior. My thought is it is either a head gasket or maybe a water pump. I have 213k miles on the vehicle. How can I isolate which issue is the problem? I have also noticed a growling noise when stopped and idling at a stoplight. Can these be related?

1st check the condition of the oil by checking the dipstick. If the oil looks milky then it's a head gasket issue. If oil is ok, refill coolant, start vehicle and let it run for 5 to 10 min. If you notice alot of white steam coming from exhaust then it's a head gasket. After vehicle reaches normal operating temperture, shut vehicle off. Now you're gonna have to check each individual spark plug. If you find one that's wet from coolant then you're gonna have to replace head gasket.

Could possibly need a new thermostat, the thermostat opens and closes depending on the heat of the coolant. maybe also check your heating core. as well as the quality of you coolant.

what motor do you have? have you change the thermostat lately? check the 2 hose to the heater core ,and see if they are hot. if only one is hot then you have a clogged heter core

2006 dodge grand caravan heater only blows warm air when i am accelerating

With the engine cold check the coolant level. Add as necessary. If the coolant gets low enough the first thing to stop working is the heat. Accelerating will push coolant into the void and provide heat until you slow down and then the coolant drains back into the motor.

If you have lost enough coolant to loose heat there is a leak. Some common areas are the rear heater lines under the passenger side of the van, the water pump, and the radiator.

Horn inop 2003 grand caravan

Yes, it sounds like the connector on the horn could have been accidentally unplugged while the work was being done.

The horn is under the hood very near the front grill on left or right side.
