I have a 1992 Ford F250 Truck with the 5.0 ( 302 ) and a E4OD automatic transmission. I have owned this truck for about 3 years now and always noticed that when the engine was already warm and i would restart it, it would misfire on idle pretty bad! If i held the gas alittle bit it still had a small miss. But when the motor is cold it would idle fine. Now, When i cold start it, it would usually jump up to 1500-2000 rpm depending on how cold it was. Now it will try to start and then die (unless its above 60 degrees farenhite out side it starts easier) then i would restartit and it will only go just past 1000 rpm point and thats all! Plus the oil pressure when cold was always at 60 psi but now in between 45-50 psi since this starting thing. It also seems to idle rather rough all the time now! Any suggestions?? OH AND BY THE WAY!!! My oil and filter is all brand new!!!!! Its Valvoline synthetic!! So its not old oil! Thanks!!
Could be many things, Check the EGR valve and make sure its not stuck open, Oil pressure low is probably due to rough idle or low RPM. Also may have restricted cat converter.
No. But the clogged cat would cause it to lose power. You really need to have codes checked in the computer. I did find a TSB for your symptom. .

This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to include 1993 model year vehicles.
ISSUE:
It is recommended that the frame mounted fuel filter be replaced at regular intervals of 15,000 miles (24,000 km)/15 month intervals. This is more frequent than the 22,500 miles (36,200 km)/22 month intervals stated in the Service Manuals. This shorter interval is necessary because of the changing nature of fuels available. A partially clogged or restricted fuel filter may cause such driveability symptoms as poor performance, lack of power and hard starting.
ACTION:
Replace the frame mounted fuel filters at 15,000 miles (24,000 km)/15 month intervals. Refer to the 1992 Econoline, F-150-350, Series, Bronco, F-Super Duty Service Manual, Section 10-01A, for service details.

The EGR is fine. I checked that before. But I noticed when I took off my throttle body to change the TPS there was alot of oily carbon built up in there? Would a clogged cat do that??
I will check have to check MAP sensor! I dont think i did that yet. Thanks for your help!! Im thinkin of changing the cat (or just removing it for good)because I have noticed a strong rotten egg smell. Thanks again!
