Driving along makes a very loud noise like motor is racing, but continue driving, noise goes away then starts again???

Please take a look at your Engine's RPMs when this is happening and let us know, as it will help with the diagnosis. If the Engine RPM is stable (not high during the periods of the racing engine sound), then it sounds like your Radiator Fan clutch may be going out. The noise you are hearing is the fan kicking in and blowing a lot of air, which in turn sounds like the engine is racing.

If the RPMs are increasing with the racing engine sound, it could be the transmission/(clutch if manual trans) slipping.
Hope this helps!

Throttle sticks somethimes in park or at a red light or stop sign. Engine races between 2-3 rpms without touching the gas pedal.

You need to take the breather tube off of the throttle body and clean the throttle body and the throttle plate with carburator cleaner to remove the gumm that is causing it to stick.Be sure to do the top and bottom of the throttle borewith a clean ragg. It's all gummed up from the Ethanol Fuel that you can't but help put in it. Ethanol Fuel is bad for todays cars!!!

When I first start engine, it stumbles until it warms up. Once driving it, it races when put back in park. You have to hit the gas to make rpms come back down.

i think myne had the same problem there is a hose that goes into something behind the engine block make sure its on there tight and mabey clamp it into place. hope this helps

3000 rpm? This is pretty high for idle. You need to have the stored code read from the ECM. Usually this is a simple O2 sensor but with it racing to 3000 rpm I would have this diagnosed by a tech at a shop.
