The problem will be either the window switch or window regulator motor. With the relay clicking sounds like window regulator. It easiest and and costs only a couple dollars more to get and replace the whole assembly versus just the motor. I hope this is helpful.

If you have verified that power is arriving at the motor then regulator is probably broken. Sometimes they get jammed when broken, sometimes they just spin and nothing happens. If motor is getting warm then power is getting to motor.
If power is not at motor then maybe relay is not working (bad contacts?) Electric windows have several components. Wiring (obvious) sometimes they have circuit breakers as opposed to fuses. Switches, relays, reduction gears and a plastice geared regulator. Good luck!

2001 Aztek windows buzz

Sounds like your drivers side window regulator motor gear is bad as far as the other windows drivers door switch is most likely bad if you dont have experience working on electrical or have never taken apart a door panel I would recommend seeing a mechanic. To check the switch you have to disassemble passenger door panel accesa the window regulator motor disconnect the weatherpack connect hook up multimeter and test for power while having an assistant push the window switch down

Saab 93 drivers window wont go down

Probably the button itself is the problem on the driver side. If the button on the passenger side still works then I would replace the power window button. As it gets older moisture and dirt play a big role in low voltage components.

2006 jeep liberty Driver's side window will not roll up or down. It worked fine and then the other day the window would not go down. There is no noise when we click the button. It just does nothing....

Taking the door panel off an testing the electrical circuit using a wiring diagram an a DMM - digital multi-meter or a test lamp of some kind . Could be the switch , motor or broken wires inside the flex boot from the body to the door . Testing is key , not just replacing parts . Before replacing part's take it to a qualified repair shop , if you don't know how to test automotive electrical circuits .

My 1998 ford f150 4x4 has electrial problems. The dome light, power windows, wipers, electric door locks are not working. Any ideas

Hi, this might be caused by a blown fuse. Check all fuses as there are some systems integrated with others running from the same fuse. If all the fuses are fine you will need to look at the earth connections and power supplies to the systems.

The drivers side window auto up/down quit

1. Start the car and leave it idle.
2. Hold the window button down all the way, until the window is completely down.
3. Let go and push it down again and hold the window button for 2 to 3 seconds then let go. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)
4. Pull up on the window button and roll the window up until it is all the way up, when it is up let go.
5. Pull the button up again for 2 to 3 seconds. (You should be able to hear or feel (very faintly) the motor/sensor reset.)

None of the windows will let down

If I understand correctly, none of your windows will operate at all. No up or down in the front or the rear. If this is the case, the buzzing sound you here may very well be the relay that controls power supply to the power windows. If you do not have the owners manual which will have the legend for all fuses and relays, see if you can get someone to help you. One person can operate the window buttons while the other traces down the location of the buzzing sound. If ALL windows make the same buzzing sound then you have lost your main ground to the power window circuit. This again would involve the malfunction of that same relay. Happy hunting and good luck, Dana

Passenger side window will not go back up

No.The drivers master power switch is probably bad.YOu will have to perform a test on the three other switches on the master. Check for power and ground when you push each putton. If the master switch fails the test you need a new master switch.

Pass.side power window won't work.

First be sure the window lock in the drivers side master switch is not LOCKED. This will prevent the windows from being rolled down by any other switch. (p106+)

Usually windows operate off a RELAY - not a fuse... and all the windows work off the same power relay.

Your Relay Part Number is 41-5021.
Here is the electrical schematic for your windows - showing the relay is common to all windows.

CLICK HERE for a better pic.

If the relay is replaced - and/or tested good, You will need to remove the offending door's panel and verify the motor is getting 12VDC when you press the button for it to go down.

If there is 12VDC when you push the button, the motor is bad.

If there is NOT 12VDC when you push the button - the master switch or child lock bypass switch is faulty.

Click HERE for a PDF version of your owners manual

Under the ROADSIDE EMERGENCIES section (p.245) you will find a layout diagram of your fusebox.

P.248 instructs to pull DOWN on the fusepanel door to access... however your power window relay is located under the driver's side dash.

If the other windows work - there are 3 options to test/replace - in this order
1. Relay
2. Master Switch
3. Window motor.
