Electric windows not working, how do i fix this golf gti 115 mark

hi.you have to get your marks lined up with the bottom crank pulley stil on because your bottom mark is on the pulley and on youre timing belt dust cove.hope this helps regards Conraad

I think you'll find its an "Electric power steering" car. Go online to the Golf 5 forums and read up about any faults and fixes. First see if it has a fuse?

Do you mean the car is automatic or the window? (punctuation required :o) If by automatic window, you mean pull it up 2 clicks and it closes all the way, same for down then it probably needs resetting. Most manufactures have a self-set procedure which is as follows. with ignition on, hold the window button down for 20 seconds, then hold it up for 20 seconds then repeat the process 1 more time. This resets most brands of electric window.

Not sure about VW but most cars with this type of warranty will have to be serviced annually by the supplier to qualify.

under the bonnet near the battery is a fuse supply box ,with metal strip fuses ,check these first and the electrical connections to the box

You'll probaly need a new speedo head. Just remember to record your original mileage to the new speedo you'll need to hook up a VAG 1552 scan tool and set it up. NOTE: It has to be below 100mi or else it will permanently lock up and unable to record your original mileage.

has the motor packed up?? is the switch ok?' have you removed the door panel and checked for a 12v feed ?? is the earth on the motor ok??

I have this problem, it's fuse number 14.

I had a VW rabbit that developed mad electrical problems. It started when one day the headlights remained on and would not shut off. It turned out that a $2.00 gasket for the antenna wire had failed. This allowed road water from the wheel well to leak onto the fuse box. In time the fuse panel corroded and shorted out. I had to replace the fuse box twice and use rubber epoxy to seal the leak.
Check all fuses and electrical wiring for signs of shorts or corrosion.

On the this Golf the panel is located by the driver’s right knee, under the dash panel.
NOTE: fuse specifications are listed on inside of panel cover.
