My 95 Buick LaSabre has been fine up til a few weeks. Then the Power locks quit working and now I noticed the a/c compressor is not turning on. There is freon in the system. It seem like a fuse but check them. I am thinking this is something that is common. Anybody have any idea's?

you have to remove the compressor, the pulley bracket will bolt to where the compressor was, it should line up with the threads from the original bolts.
If it just clicks make sure the engine isn't locked up by turning it by hand. If it turns freely it is possible that you have a defective starter motor provided all your connections to the starter and battery are clean and making good contact.
Fuse box is under the dash to the left of the brake pedal and has a black door on it. If the fuse is ok you might have to unbolt the airbag ( 4 bolts on the back of stering wheel)and check to see if the horn plug is plugged into the steering column. This plug has a spring on the end of it, if its out reinstall in the small hole and turn clockwise til it locks in place.
Hi I have a 1985 Buick Lesaber. I turn the key and get nothing a few times. Than I turn the key and the dash lights up and it starts. What do you think? Starter? Battery?
A sensor would turn the compressor on and off all the time. If it stays running you most likley have a weak compressor. Signs are not cooling at idle and cools better while driving but not cold as it should be. An
ac gauge set will tell if it is bad.
Ever find out what to do with this? I'm running into the same problem and see multiple refrences to it, but not much for follow up on what fixed it. I pulled the fuse for mine, but it kills the trunk release and automatic locks...so I'm not a big fan of that.
