I own a 1995 ford escort. suspect that the fuse for the fuel pump is bad. Can't locate.

Sounds like a bad pressure regulator. The regulator is suppose to adjust the pump speed to match demand. Some units work by counting the RPM with a crankshaft sensor. Check fuel pressure at test port. Sometimes the pressure needs to be adjusted when changing a pump.

wich switches do you mean?
Fuel pump is at LHD in the foot bay , left hand side under a small plastic lid 10 cm below the lower door hinge inside

The fuel pump fuse is located in the junction box under the hood, near the battery. Hope this helps

Fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. You can access fuel pump trough rear of the vehicle in some models thru trunk afer removing carpet, or never models behind rear seat. You have to remove rear seat to access fuel pump .
Check your fuel pressure before removing fuel pump, somethimes your fuel shutt off switch could be malfunctioning.

check all the fuse first take every fuse out one by one. there also maybe a fusible link that is bad. those are located by the positive side of the battery their in the wires coming off the battery. you will need to splice open wires to find bad fusible link.

POSS AIR FLOW METER

mine has a fuse. also check power to the pump and to the cut off switch ... if you have power it would be the pump ... good thing you can remove the back seat to access the pump.

Does the starter solinoid click?  Have you tried jumping with another car  Have you checked the fuze links?

The fuel pump is in the gas tank, you can access it by removing the rear seat cushion, there is a fuel tank access plate uinder the seat cushion.
