Hi!!

Let's start with the basics, check blower motor and AC fuses and relays, also take a visual check to the wiring going to the Blower Motor (Firewall, passenger side). Look for broken wires and loose electrical terminals.

Let me know how it went.

Good Luck!!!

Check coolant level, or maybe air in system - if its ok maybe the cooling fan visco cluch is faulty.

Heater blows cold air

Check there is water in it first. A black cap on top of the radiator. If the level is ok then a wee red dipstick should float up.

Heater blower not working

It sounds like your cabin air filter has stopped up common problem on these cars. You have to remove the glovebox to get to it. If this filter stops up, your fan will be running on high but hardly anything will come out of the vents.

BMW 318i 1999 model, air con not working

hi

I had this problem before. There could be several reason.

1-Your air conditionner filter could be soo old and dirty, that you don"t get that good air condition.

2-Your air cond compressor could be giving low pression and so, no cool air.

3- You could be having a leak somewhere and so you're loosing gaz after it's filled.

4- Check also the fuse box. Seee if the AC fuse is not burnt.

thanx and don't hesitate to come back to me

Heating problem

Could be a few things. First of all check the coolant level ( when the engine is cold ) If this is OK it's possible that the heater matrix is partially blocked & is only transferring the heat when there is a high flow of coolant or the plastic impeller on the inside of the water pump is loose and isn't circulating the coolant around the engine properly. Hope this helps & good luck !

Heater works part time

Can be low coolant level or water pump problem.
Check the coolant level.
Also alternator (serpentine belt) can be a problem too.
Good Luck

the light should be on when air con is working. only works when the blower is on ,ie heater blower switch on=air con light lit up = aircon working.
