SOURCE: dont know the tyre pressure for my vw transporter
Way too low. I have the same vehicle. Pressure should be at least 55psi all round, depending on load.

I believe this is the warning for your front brake pads being worn.
SOURCE: Retiming of vw transporter diesel pump
This requires the use of a special VW tool called "the indicator tool". Visit this site to buy it:

You will also need to buy a repair manual for your car so you can get the appropriate timing setting for the pump. I recommend the Bently manual:
http://www.bentleypublishers.com/vw/eurovan/1992-2003/VW-Eurovan-92-99-Factory-Repair-Manual.html
It's expensive but worth it. If you don't want to spend that much, you may find pump timing information in a Haynes or Chilton manual which can be purchased on Amazon or at your local Autozone.
Good luck.
