ABS, Tire Pressure and Airbag Light Fault on '05 MINI Cooper

I had my battery replaced improperly a while back. I believe it shorted something in my 05 Cooper. Intermittently the airbag light comes on, while the ABS and Tire Pressure lights now come on almost instantly after starting the car (interestingly, however, if I start the car on a surface with poor traction, the ABS and Tire lights stay off and the ABS functions - however, when I get to dry pavement, the ABS faults). I've been told that the ABS sensors have been checked and looked ok. The likely culprit is a computer. Does anyone know what this computer is called?

The computer you are looking for is called an ASC control unit and is located in the right hand side of the engine bay.
I advise you have the fault codes checked first as a new ASC control unit is not cheep and will require coding.

2006 mini cooper code p1613 no speedo abs check engine tire light on

The codes are OBD2 and are available on line, try looking for code p1613 and there will be the answer. You may have other problems as this code is not related to ABS The tire pressure is the result of a low tire or faulty pressure sensor. Check air pressure and bring to correct pressure. The TPMS may have to be rest using a specif tool. Tire shops , and dealers have them.

How do i get the airbag light on my mini cooper 2004 to turn off? It's been on the diagnostic and there is no fault with the airbag

Check the wires under the seats to the passenger sensing devices. I believe Mini had a recall on this for some model years. You will need a SRS reader or the dealer to reset the airbag light after you fix the problem.

I got the abs and tire pressure warning lights on in a mini cooper 2004 what can i do

on all four wheels their will be a sensor and 'sensing' plate. First step is to clean these all up with a parts cleaner, and try again. If one of the sensors cant pick up a signal from the plate, then this will cause a fault. If no luck, inspect the wiring to and from the sensors, for obvious damage/short circuits. Hopefully this would have sorted it, otherwise their could be a faulty abs sensor. As for tyre pressures, i am not sure how the system works. What type of warning? If it is like some aftermarket systems, then maybe a battery has gone in flat on one of the wheel sensors

I have a mini cooper & cannot find the book - round dashboard control has 7 circular lights above speed controls - the 2nd one in from the right just turned orange and fashing when I was on my way home...

Check your tire pressure. One of your tires has lost enough tire pressure to trigger this alarm. It could also be a puncture by nail or something. Once you've checked your tire pressures and set them all to desired pressure (30psi - depending on tire model and passenger occupancy) you can reset this alarm by pressing and holding down the button (apprx. 10 sec) located on the front of base of the emergency brake (same symbol on button as alarm). Blinking yellow light will stop blinking and stay on (this is when you can stop pressing the button), but eventually, shortly dissappear. I think the alarm is triggered by a difference of 4-6 psi which can aso be affected by climate change (warmer to colder season or visa versa).
