My 1999 Toewn and Country van dies while I am driving. It will usually start right back by itself but often at an intersection i will have to start it. It always starts but i expect one day it will not.

Could be the idle air control valve (IAC), or maybe even the fuel pump getting worn. Just trying to throw something out there, hope it helps. Good luck!

A couple of days ago when the van died out on me after maybe 45 minutes of driving, I was able to start the van back up, but as ... I had a Dodge Intrepid that had the same symptoms. .... Oh, its a cam sensor, you fix that then its the crank sensor, then its something else, ad nauseum.Missing: b250
Put a fuel pressure gauge on the motor & tie to a windshield wiper & see if your loosing fuel pressure when it shuts off 15 year old vehicle Fuel Pump maybe worn out Back probe TPS Sensor & test that
Have the codes read. This will start you in the right direction. Quit taking advice from people who are guessing. The van died , the check engine light is on. read the codes and then we can help. Unless you want me to guess also.
I have no idea about the factory alarm resetting itself, but I DO have experience with having someone leave lights on and jumping the battery the wrong way. Unless you are 100% positive this is no the case, make sure it was not fried on the jump. If the cables were crossed, you might have some wires, therefore rendering your on-board computers to ****. =) Good Luck.
Also, contact a dealer via PHONE (so they can not trick you into being charged by looking at your van) in regards to factory alarm.
see when you say you step on it, and the vehicle stalls, it sounds as if it bein starved of fuel...you step on it, and therefore the demand is there, but not the supply. to prevent itself from over heating, the fuel pump shuts off...after a moment of cooling off, it fires right back up...get it checked at your mechanic...do the strainer on the bottom of the pump, and fuel filter as well...is it time for a tune up yet?
your alternator most likely went bad and you were just driving on battery power with out the alternator recharging back the battery when your voltage drops to around 7.5 volts then the van will die please dont try to drive home with out fixing alternator.
