1950-1990 rear end "knock" sound is most likely a torn axle boot and dried out cv joint.
Either replace joint or clean thoroughly, re-grease and use a new boot. These guys are very tough.

Vw lt35 2.5td not starting anymore

Change the ignition switch, and look at the car racks, only here the chance that you will find it is very small! Because your model is quite rare for the USA, or you can find it on some forums / Vw communities, enthusiasts may well know! VW club

Vw camper T2 bay ignition problem

Please re-post your question as it sounds like you are talking about the later vanagon and not the bay-window type 2 since the bay-window units did not have fancy idle control and stabilizer units.

1978 VW T2 REVERSE GEAR NOT WORKING!

There are access panel for these vehicles all the way toward the back just ahead of the transmission on the under side of the vehicle (floor board center remove the bolts to expose the shift rod mechanisms often time s they are broken or worn inspect and repair, there is also a mechanism up front you must remove the rubber boot to expose the hold down bolts for the shifter mechanism you may be able to readjust after greasing the mechanism to regain function, either way these are not easy mechanisms to work on be sure to scribe around the perimeter location of mounting plate on the front shifter before unbolting just as a reference point.

Vw problems

Be very careful with this. I had a car that had the dash oil light flicker on and off then would come on for a few mins and go then stayed on. I assumed it was a dodgy connection. Turned out the oil pump was on the way out and cos I was still using it ended up snapping the crank shaft and made s#!t of the engine. Replacement engine was then put in.
Could be something small or something huge!!!
