93 honda accord keeps getting really hot and fans won't turn on

My 93 honda accord keeps getting really hot and the radiator fans are not turning on. There are two fans on the radiator and only one of them will turn on but only when i turn the car off. Do you have any idea what could be the problem? Thank you.

It sounds as if one of the fans on your car is not functioning and it seems to be the one that should be on while you are driving. The fan that comes on after turning your car off seems to be working, but you probably need to replace the other one. If you are handy, you can test the non-working fan by wiring it directly to your battery to see if it operates. It might be possible to switch the wire from the working fan to the non-working fan, or at least jumper from the wires to the non-working fan to see if the fan functions. These fans are fairly cheap. Here's a link to a company that stocks both fans. Good luck!

Radiator fan continues to run. Fan won't shut off when engine is turned off.

Its supposed to keep running even with the car turned off if the car is still to warm, they work off a sensor,, now if it keeps running way to long,, the sensor is bad,, ( if you have to pull the fuse to make it quit after a while,, then check the relay , and then the sensor )

I would have it checked for a blown head gasket. Combustion gasses in the cooling system can keep the temperature switch for the fan from operating properly.

My 93 honda accord lx is over heating what do i do?

The first thing is to make sure the coolant is full, check it when the engine is cool, check radiator level, if coolant is full then check for bad thermostat, run engine and as it overheats check both hoses to make sure they are both hot, if one is hot and the other warm then you will need to replace the thermostat.if both hoses are hot then you may have a bad cooling fan or sensor, hope this is helpful.

Jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

2001 honda accord, air conditioner is not working,

one fan is for the a/c it will cycle on when the a/c is turned on the other fan should be linked to the temperature sensor. check your fuses if you haven't already. then check your temp sensor. i'm not sure on a honda but most newer cars have multiple sensors so you will have to find out which on is for the fan. also you need to find out if the fan is controled by a pcm as some new model cars have almost everything controled through the powertrain control module
