Cant operate windows after accident - 2006 Lexus Is 250

driver usually has a button that locks out other windows
I reckon that button has been accidently switch to lock out other windows being operated.

that is the accident switch. stops you driving off after an accident some cars are fitted with them now and it will have to be rest. think the rac and aa can do this.

Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.

and, if he traps his head in the window,who are you going to sue.....?(or even falls out on he highway.)LEAVE IT ALONE, they would not have fitted it for nothing........you could always hotwire them and start using your cellphone while doing your makeup on the school run .....the police would love you.....

i need a diagram of a series 11 xj6 jaguar door i.e. the position of the electric window into the door as i cant line the bolts and frame up. need to see a picture of it. thanks

Try checking your fuse box and see if you blew a fuse. I had a similar problem when i was repairing a wire in one of the doors in my grand prix. I accidently blew a fuse and it caused all sorts of whacky problems.

Did you re-use the switch? The circuit usually operates by reversing polarity for window motors so either your switch is bad (try a different one) or you have a wire between the switch and the motor that is shorted to ground.

YES I DO. there is a switch, there where the 4 switches are on the drivers door. there should be another switch there that turns the other windows on/off. somehow that switch got turned off.

This may be a problem with Ford Expedition in which a class action suit should help resolve. I also had a 2001 and a 1997 expedition which had the same problems. I traded the 1997 in for the 2001 and later bought a replacement arm operator for the rt passenger rear side. i did not get a chance to install due to a recent accident in which I totaled the vehicle--quick fix for me:)

i had the same prob with my 01 elcipse. its a wiring problem in the door. i had to put the ground wire on another ground but i can only put it up from the dirver side and down from pass side of the pass window.
