The epc light comes on the odd time, in my 2004 audi a3. I cannot find the manual. I am interested in knowing what it means?

I am having the same problem on my Audi A4 2004 FSI, lose power whilst driving at speed with the EPC light coming on. Looks like a design fault of some kind with Audi petrol engins, have read a few forums about this but no clear straight answer. Check the link below:

Got audi a4 1996 diesel need to change cambelt but

A diesel uses a different procedure. You'll need a tool to hold the camshaft pulley parallel to the top of the cylinder head. The timing mark to set TDC for piston #1 is located on top of bell housing. The pointer must be aligned on the diamond cut on the flywheel. A VW/Audi setting bar tool #2065A is needed to lock the camshaft in position. Lock the injection pumpin position using the special lock pin (VW/Audi special tool no. 2064). Caution: If the drive belt is broken or has jumped time, do not attempt to lock the sprocket at this time!!! You will also need VW/Audi special tool no. VW210 to measure belt tension between camshaft sproket and injection pump sprocket. So good luck.

The thermostaton a 2.8L V6 audi a4 is located behind the cambelt on the driver side. To reach in you need to remove the fornt bumper, slide the radiator upport frame forwards (dont disconnect anything) remove the driver side cambelt cover, SLACKEN the cambelt SLIGHTLY (DO NOT REMOVE IT) then you can slide the thermostat housing out from behind the cambelt followed ny the thermostat.

2003 audi A4 2.0 fsi, has misfire on idle

this is going to sound crazy BUT i would (and have) take your car to a skoda dealer, labour cost 1/2 that of audi(i worked for audi for 11 years)and the parts are out of the same box.have you replaced H.T.leads as thet are carbon fibre and can cause the same symptoms.also ask to speak to audi area technical manager when next in your area.he is factory trained.
